The Heron Villa
The Heron is no hotel room. This large and well equipped villa was designed specifically to cater for anniversaries and romantic weekends away.
The villa also serves as a purpose-built honeymoon suite for the many newly-weds we host each year. The villa includes a comfortable king bed, large walk-in suitable for gowns and tuxedos, along with a make-up table. The large open-plan villa includes a spacious lounge room and dining.
The kitchenette includes a full-size fridge and we provide hot plate, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee-machine, as well as complimentary supplies for a ‘cook-your-own’ breakfast – eggs, bacon, bread for toast, cereal, milk, OJ, tea and cofffee. The bathroom is large with a double-bath and double shower.
The Heron villa has a large veranda, with outdoor setting for a coffee and breakfast in the sun, or evening drinks as the sun sets.
All of our villas have reverse-cycle air-conditioning, ceiling fans and wood-fired heaters (available for use between April and October each year).
Parking is free, and at the door. Internet is available and free.

Marrying or dining at Grazing Restaurant? It’s a two-minute stroll back to your villa under the stars.
Soak in the bath while watch the flames of the fire before waking to birdsong and a slow breakfast.

The Nest at Gundaroo sits in the heart of Gundaroo’s wedding country. Grazing Restaurant is a two-minute walk from our door, and Tallagandra Hill Winery and Petrichor Farm are less than 10 minutes away.
Heron Villa, our bridal suite, is designed for the whole day: space and natural light for hair, makeup and photos as you get ready, and a private, quiet retreat to return to when the last dance is done.
Friends and family can stay close too. Our four other villas (Cockatoo, Magpie, Kestrel and Rosella), and Clemenger’s Cottage, they can booked individually or together for your wedding party, all just 30 minutes from Canberra.
